The need for reliable proxy servers has never been greater. With so many options available on the market, finding the ideal one for your needs can be quite challenging. In this comparison, we’ll cover the most popular Oxylabs alternatives to help you make an informed decision and choose the best option.

Note: All data collected on October 2023 from the official company websites and bestproxyfinder.com.

What Does Oxylabs Have To Offer?

Oxylabs is a premium proxy provider with reliable solutions for businesses and individuals. This Lithuania-based company opened its doors in 2015, and today it’s one of the leading providers on the market. Oxylabs offers a wide array of proxy and data collection services primarily targeted at business clients.

The provider mainly targets business clients with long-term contracts, dedicated account managers , and more. In terms of proxies, it offers one of the largest proxy networks on the market. The global residential proxy pool offers city-level geo-targeting, sticky and rotating sessions, and a pay-as-you-go option at $10/GB.

With Oxylabs, clients get top-of-the-line proxies for any purpose, along with ample documentation, reliable support, and more. However, the enterprise-friendly approach doesn’t make it an excellent option for smaller businesses and individuals. The pricing is well above the industry average, there’s no support for cryptocurrencies, and you can’t order certain products without contacting the sales team.

In case Oxylabs doesn’t meet your needs or it’s out of your price range, here are some alternatives worth considering.

1. IPRoyal

IPRoyal

Although it hasn’t been on the market for too long, it’s worth considering IPRoyal as an Oxylabs alternative. The provider is well-known for its flexible plans and very competitive prices, so it’s very popular among small to medium-sized businesses and individuals.

  • Residential proxies

IPRoyal offers over 32 million unique IPs in 195 countries at a great starting price and generous bulk discounts. The traffic never expires, and there are no plans or contracts, so it’s an excellent option for those on a budget.

  • Datacenter proxies

With market-leading speeds, unlimited traffic, and highly customizable plans starting at just five proxies, there’s a lot to like here. Datacenter proxies are available in monthly plans with discounts on the number of IPs and plan duration.

  • ISP proxies

Static (or ISP) proxies also have zero traffic limitations, premium ISPs, and high performance. They’re available in daily and monthly plans, and you can customize the number of proxies per order (from 1 and up).

  • Mobile proxies

While the number of available locations is lower compared to Oxylabs, IPRoyal offers mobile proxies with unlimited traffic, which is incomparably more cost-efficient. They’re available in seven locations, with premium providers, customizable rotation at no extra charge, and 5G/4G/3G support.

Pricing

IPRoyal has clear pricing for all its services, with no hidden costs and upsells. Ordering more traffic, purchasing a longer plan, or ordering more proxies at once comes with great discounts on top.

Residential Datacenter (dedicated) ISP (dedicated) Mobile
Model Pay-as-you-go Subscription Subscription Subscription
Format Traffic IPs IPs Duration
Starting Price $7/GB $9 for 5 IPs/month $2.70 for 1 IP/month $90/month
Lowest Price $1.75/GB $1.39/IP $2.40/IP $81/month
Upsells Location

Support

IPRoyal support is available 24/7 via live chat, email, and Discord. The website offers free browser extensions (Chrome and Firefox) for proxy management, as well as a Windows-based proxy tester that allows users to check proxy lists with specific URLs. The dashboard offers links to FAQs, quick-start guides, and documentation. Finally, the blog section contains integration tutorials, DIY guides, and more.

2. Bright Data

BrightData2_847x300.png

Bright Data is one of the most prominent proxy providers on the market, primarily focused on large enterprise clients. While the residential pool is smaller, clients can expect more advanced features and proxy management tools compared to Oxylabs. However, these features come at a higher price.

  • Residential proxies

Bright Data offers over 72 million residential IPs in 195 countries, with customizable rotation options and SOCKS5 support. Clients can filter them by city, ASN, and ZIP code, but this doubles the price per GB. Just like Oxylabs, Bright Data blocks access to Google via residential proxies.

  • Datacenter proxies

The provider offers datacenter proxies in four variations - shared (paid per usage or per IP), dedicated, and premium. The prices are higher than average regardless of the proxy type, but they all offer a pay-as-you-go option. The dedicated IP model pricing is based on proxy count and traffic use.

  • ISP proxies

Just like datacenter proxies, ISP proxies are available in several variations - shared (IP-based and usage-based pricing) and dedicated. Bright Data offers country and city-level targeting in 98 countries with a pool of over 700,000 IPs, which is quite impressive. There’s a pay-as-you-go option available, and the price per GB is somewhat lower compared to Oxylabs.

  • Mobile proxies

While Bright Data’s mobile proxy pool is smaller (7+ vs. 20+ million), it offers better location coverage (195 vs. 140 countries). Both providers offer a pay-as-you-go option, and Oxylabs offers a lower price per GB. Clients who need unlimited mobile traffic should look elsewhere, though.

Pricing

Bright Data’s pricing can get a bit confusing. All services have a pay-as-you-go option with subscription plans as an alternative. There are many upsells involved, and certain proxies are priced per IP and amount of traffic spent. Annual billing adds a 10% discount.

Residential Datacenter (shared) ISP (shared) Mobile
Model Pay-as-you-go, subscription Pay-as-you-go, subscription Pay-as-you-go, subscription Pay-as-you-go, subscription
Format Traffic IPs/traffic IPs/traffic Traffic
Starting Price $8.40/GB $0.11/GB + $0.8/IP $15/GB + $0.5/IP $24/GB
Lowest Price $6.3/GB $0.083/GB + $0.6/IP $11.25/GB + $0.5/IP $18/GB
Upsells Targeting Targeting, unlimited traffic, dedicated IPs Targeting, dedicated IPs Targeting

Note: While we worked on this comparison, Bright Data introduced micro-packages for all proxy services. While they’re generally cheaper than the pay-as-you-go options, we weren’t able to determine if it has any advantages or limitations. We will update the text accordingly once we get a clear response from Bright Data.

Support

Bright Data support is available via Telegram, WhatsApp, and a tIMobileicketing system, with prioritized response for clients who use premium and enterprise plans. The website offers browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox, and Edge), along with a proxy manager necessary for using SOCKS5. Finally, clients have access to ample documentation, FAQs, integration guides, video tutorials, and more.

3. Smartproxy

SmartProxy2_847x300.png

Smartproxy is another budget-friendly Oxylabs alternative worth considering for those willing to compromise. Certain features available with Oxylabs are missing. However, Smartproxy makes up for it with great pricing and some uncommon options, like OS targeting, access to Google, and more.

  • Residential proxies

Although Smartproxy’s residential pool is somewhat smaller, it’s still among the largest on the market. It offers over 55 million IPs in 195 countries, with country, state, and city-level targeting. The rotation options are somewhat limited (1, 10, and 30 minutes), and the provider recently added SOCKS5 support.

  • Datacenter proxies

Smartproxy offers shared, rotating, and dedicated datacenter proxies. Dedicated datacenter proxies have unlimited traffic, but the only available location is the US. The rotating option gives clients access to a 100,000 IP pool with better location coverage.

  • ISP proxies

The provider introduced its ISP proxy service recently, so there’s still lots of room for growth. Clients have access to the entire ISP proxy pool (16,000 proxies in 4 locations) with the ability to rotate proxies as needed. For those who need better location diversity, it’s best to look elsewhere.

  • Mobile proxies

With 10 million IPs, OS filtering, 130 locations, and 700 mobile carriers, Smartproxy’s mobile service has a lot going for it. Clients also get city-level targeting and SOCKS5 support, starting at $21/GB - just $1 under the pay-as-you-go option from Oxylabs.

Pricing

Smartproxy offers very competitive pricing across the board, with pay-as-you-go and monthly plans available depending on the proxy type. Enterprise plans include a dedicated account manager.

Residential Datacenter (dedicated) ISP (shared) Mobile
Model Pay-as-you-go, subscription Subscription Subscription Pay-as-you-go, subscription
Format Traffic IPs Traffic Traffic
Starting Price $7/GB $7.5 for 3 IPs/month $28 for 2 GB $20/GB
Lowest Price $4.5/GB $1.51/IP $11/GB $6/GB
Upsells Non-sequential IPs

Support

Smartproxy offers 24/7 support via live chat and email. Aside from rich documentation and detailed quick-start guides, the website offers integration tutorials, configuration instructions, a technical documentation hub, and more. The standard proxy management extensions (Chrome and Firefox) are available, along with a proxy list generator and an anti-detect browser.

4. SOAX

Soax2_847x300.png

While SOAX is another fairly young provider, it has a lot to offer - excellent performance at decent prices, custom web scraping tools, and more. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that the provider doesn’t offer datacenter proxies or any type of dedicated proxies. There’s also no pay-as-you-go option for any proxy type or options with unlimited traffic.

  • Residential proxies

SOAX residential proxy pool consists of 155 million IPs in 195 countries. It offers country, state, city, and ISP-level targeting, with SOCKS5 support and customizable rotation options at no extra cost. There’s no ASN or ZIP code targeting, though.

  • ISP proxies

SOAX offers rotating ISP proxies only in the United States, with a pool of 2.6 million IPs at the moment. While the rotation is highly customizable (up to 24 hours), there’s a lot missing here. Those who need unlimited traffic, dedicated IPs, and better location coverage should look to other providers.

  • Mobile proxies

With mobile proxies from SOAX, clients get city and carrier-level targeting, worldwide coverage (150+ locations), and access to a pool of 33 million proxies. The price per GB is significantly lower compared to Oxylabs.

Pricing

SOAX offers competitive pricing compared to Oxylabs, with well-rounded services for all sorts of clients. While there are no pay-as-you-go options, the existing plans are versatile enough to make it an option worth considering.

Residential ISP (rotating) Mobile
Model Subscription Subscription Subscription
Format Traffic Traffic Traffic
Starting Price $6.60/GB $6.60/GB $6.60/GB
Lowest Price $2.20/GB $2.20/GB $2.20/GB
Upsells

Support

SOAX support is available via live chat, email, phone, and Telegram. The website’s documentation hub includes FAQs, quick-start guides, setup instructions, documentation, integration tutorials, and video guides. The provider also runs a podcast on data collection legality, ethics, and similar topics.

5. NetNut

NetNut2_847x300.png

Although it’s not as popular, NetNut’s offerings make a good Oxylabs alternative for businesses. This Israel-based provider was founded in 2017. Today, it offers a robust global proxy network with great location coverage and unlimited concurrency at competitive prices but with limited support for starter plans.

  • Residential proxies

NetNut’s residential proxy includes over 52 million IPs globally by combining ISP and P2P proxy networks. While this approach is beneficial in terms of speed, it does negatively impact success rates. Geo-targeting options are limited to country-level, and Google is not accessible.

  • Datacenter proxies

Only shared datacenter proxies are available, but clients can keep the same IP indefinitely or rotate them on each request. Clients get access to state and city-level targeting, and this pool contains addresses from 8 countries worldwide.

  • ISP proxies

The ISP pool contains one million IPs in over 30 countries. Just like datacenter proxies, ISP proxies are shared, but clients can keep the same IP indefinitely. Geo-targeting options are also the same: country-level for all locations and state- or city-level for US-based IPs.

  • Mobile proxies

NetNut’s mobile proxy service is fairly new, with 250,000 IPs in over 100 countries. The starting plan has the same price per GB as Oxylabs, but it includes twice as much traffic (20 vs. 10 GB). This makes the Advanced Oxylabs plan a better option at $19/GB. Those who need more cost-efficient options should consider IPRoyal or a similar alternative.

Pricing

NetNut uses a traffic-based pricing model for all services. Starter plans fall to the expensive part of the spectrum, but the pricing gets significantly more competitive with larger plans.

Residential Datacenter (rotating) ISP (rotating) Mobile
Model Subscription Subscription Subscription Subscription
Format Traffic Traffic Traffic Traffic
Starting Price $15/GB $1/GB $17.5/GB $20/GB
Lowest Price $3.6/GB $0.45/GB $4.5/GB $7.2/GB
Upsells

Support

NetNut support is available 24/7 via email for starter plans, along with Skype, Telegram, and WhatsApp for larger plans. The provider is also available on Discord. In terms of documentation, there’s plenty of room for growth. The website offers integration tutorials for the most popular tools and an extensive FAQ section. However, clients will have to contact support to get answers to certain questions.

Oxylabs Alternatives: Final Thoughts

Although Oxylabs is one of the leading proxy providers with a lot to offer, the market has many other options worth considering. Different users have different requirements, and finding the ideal proxy provider is often easier said than done.

All things considered, IPRoyal presents itself as one of the best Oxylabs alternatives. It’s an obvious choice thanks to fantastic pricing, robust features, and advantages you won’t find elsewhere, like non-expiring traffic and unlimited plans for ISP, datacenter, and mobile proxies.
