The decision to buy a proxy includes several choices. Users must decide how much bandwidth they need, the regions of their proxies, and which provider to use.
An equally important decision is which payment processor to use. Payment systems, like proxies, vary in quality, and choosing the right payment method can affect the overall experience.
If you’re interested in purchasing proxies with Bancontact, this article explains how to get started by proxies easily using our intuitive interface.
Bancontact is one of the most popular ePayment processors in Belgium. The primary currency Bancontact uses is the EURO, although Bancontact has expanded in recent times to support other auxiliary currencies also.
Even though Bancontact support is expanding, few proxy providers outside of Belgium have adopted the platform. We recommend researching some key elements ahead of time for a smooth process.
We’ve compiled this handy checklist to help you determine if using Bancontact is the right choice when purchasing proxies for business or personal use.
Bancontact is still in the process of becoming mainstream outside of Belgium. In the United States, it’s rare to see Bancontact accepted at all. You should check ahead of time to see if the payment type is accepted in your area, not only by your bank but also by your proxy provider.
You might need to ask your bank if there are specific limits for Bancontact payments— whether funding or total transactions limits. Knowing these things beforehand helps avoid road bumps as you proceed.
The Bancontact mobile app makes registering your account and linking it to your bank exceedingly simple. Generally, shops and other websites that support Bancontact will simplify the process by presenting a QR code that you can scan with the Bancontact app.
Using the app, you scan the QR code, check the details, and tap “Pay.” If you cannot use the Bancontact app, you can use a Bancontact debit card in particular circumstances. Check with your bank for more details.
Purchasing proxies with Bancontact is one of the most simple international payment methods available. Follow these straightforward steps to purchase new proxies using your Bancontact account.
From the IPRoyal home page, log in to your account by clicking the “Client Area” link.
You can also register for a new account with us by clicking the “Registration” button on the log-in page.
After logging in to your IPRoyal dashboard, choose the proxy you wish to purchase from the products list on the left-side menu. Then, click the “Create new order” button in the main content area.
Next, you’ll see the create new order page, which lets you verify the kind of proxy you wish to buy and specify how much bandwidth you need. It’s good to give yourself some extra leeway when calculating your bandwidth needs to avoid interruption during a download, streaming, or other intensive operation. When your order details are set, click “Confirm” to move to the payment details page.
Review your order details again on the payment page, then look under the Payment methods heading. Choose “Pay with Bancontact” from the list of payment methods. You may need to click the show more methods link to see all the available payment options.
After choosing to pay with Bancontact, enter your First and Last name into the appropriate fields, verify all details are correct, and click the “Pay ($x.xx)*” button.
*($x.xx) will be replaced with your actual purchase price.
Storing funds in your IPRoyal account allows you to easily purchase new proxies and cover recurring subscriptions without re-entering payment details.
